Aload.jpg (25051 bytes) When packing out game meat, keep it centered and both sides balanced with in 3-5 lbs. This will ad stability for the pack out and make for a smooth trip. Jellybean has 80 lbs of elk here.

Ddfall.jpg (52948 bytes) Llamas will pack string through about any type of terrain. The more you are on the mountain with them, the more comfortable you become with their abilities. Go slow at first and get to know them while they get to know you too.

Llamas.jpg (59561 bytes) you can top load a variety of items, tent, sleeping bag, folding chairs, chainsaw, and so on. Llamas will keep a comfortable spacing between each other while in the pack string .

Shute.jpg (29984 bytes) Loading the llama into the Shute is real easy, just lead them into it and bring the lead rope through.

Strmcmg.jpg (38940 bytes) Placing each llamas panniers and top loads in order and then loading each one fully, is very fast and nothing gets left at the trailhead. This big storm coming in from the west didn't interfere with loading up the llamas and getting on the mountain.

Tumylow.jpg (39878 bytes) The panniers should hang at 'tummy' level. Any lower and you get to much swinging and instability during the pack in.
